Obituary of Evelyn S. Giannetti

Evelyn S. Giannetti, age 99, of Farmville, Virginia, formerly of Ridge, New York died Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Evelyn was born April 10, 1922 in Worchester, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of the late Samuel and the late Rose (Schnaerson) Sack. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Felix Peter Giannetti in 2009. She is survived by her loving children Philip Louis Giannetti of Farmville, Virginia, Robert Bruce Giannetti of Mumbai, India, and Susan Terri Giannetti and son-in-law Theodore Swedalla of Farmville, Virginia. She is also the cherished grandmother of three grandchildren, Devi Giannetti of Mumbai, India, Alexis Dwyer of Fort Lee, Virginia and Matthew Dwyer of Breckenridge, Colorado. Evelyn also has three great grandchildren Alycia Dwyer, Roderick Crawford and Amorah Crawford of Charlotte, North Carolina. Evelyn lived a full and rich life, surrounding herself with friends, family and many different interests. She was an avid reader and lover of music, primarily Opera and Classical. A talented cook and seamstress, she was always at the center of entertaining as well as multiple sewing projects. Evelyn and beloved husband Phil, spent many hours on their sailboat, The Andiamo, cruising up and down the East coast. Evelyn always considered Massachusetts and Long Island, New York to be her home. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 9:45 AM so we can leave promptly at 10:00 AM to proceed together to Calverton National Cemetery for burial services.
